Winter wedding:
1. Combine colours as nature intended. Think of the colours of leaves in autumn. Nothing jars.
2. Don’t wear black to a wedding.
3. If it’s really cold, consider wearing thermals underneath your outfit instead of a heavy coat that will hide all the effort you’ve made.
4. Remember gloves keep you warm and add an element of elegance – as long as they are not black and woolly.
5. Check that the shadow from your hat does not accentuate the dark circles under your eyes.
6. Don’t wear a summer hat with a winter outfit.
7. If tights are involved in an outfit and you’re in a potentially splintery church, carry a spare pair.
